With $408,000 raised plus the West Foundation's $150,000 Matching Grant, Rogers Street will now be able to complete the first-phase objective of the Campaign, which is to expand the site’s basic infrastructure. This includes a 1,000 square foot expansion to the 2102 Jackson Street Visitors Center and the construction of a brand new, 2,400 square foot shipwreck exhibit hall. All remaining Capital Campaign funds raised from this point forward are going to be vital in terms of helping support new exhibit design and installations, developing year-round educational outreach programs, and enhancing our ability to care for our many treasured artifacts by way of sound museum collections management strategies. |
